Back in 2020, when we were all stuck at home due to COVID-19..

I bought a low-cost FDM printer from a company called Kingroon just for fun.. but I was surprised at how well the prints came out.. and to find a use for it, I was getting tired of making the elephant my son liked every time (clay tantrum..)

I remember making simple low-poly models in Blender, creating data easily through subdivision processing, and printing them both in resin and FDM.

Back then, I made several elephants overnight on the Kingroon and gave them to my son as a surprise!! But.. my son was too young back then and didn't react much..

And so.. my elephants ㅠ_ㅠ were forgotten in my memories.

Then recently, having played so much with the K1 printer, I suddenly remembered modeling an elephant for him before... I looked it up and luckily, I had kept everything well organized on Google Drive, from the Blender files to the STL files (I did good, past me ㅠㅠ), so I printed them again..

Can't believe it...

It turned out really well.

Printed in Hyper PLA white at 0.16mm height with a size of about 10cm. The print was completed in about 1 hour and 40 minutes by applying the Kingroon profile.

K1... you were a good 3D printer, weren't you?

I tried printing with eSUN PLA+ using the profile I made. .As expected, it prints well..

Please refer to the YouTube video below for detailed production process and introduction.

Is this really the reward for all the hard work I put in? I struggled a lot with the K1, but thanks to that, I've learned how to use it well. Printing my own designs directly, the results turned out quite well, and I feel great about it.

And since my son goes to an art academy like he didn't in the past.. I print the elephant I made myself on a 3D printer, and with high-speed printing, it comes out with a loud bang..

His eyes go wide and he keeps asking me to print more elephants with the 3D printer.. Wheeheee..

It makes us so happy that our best client likes it.

So.. now that I'm at it, I'm trying to come up with some ideas to boost the commercial potential of my personal elephant figures.. and quite interesting results are coming out, so I'll record these for the future as well.

After all, making things is fun.
