Apple has announced a policy update allowing the Apple App Store to permit alternative in-app payment options in addition to its own in-app purchase system.
This is not a rule for all public places worldwide, but rather content proceeding under Korean law, so it appears to be implemented only limitedly in South Korea..
Specifically, it seems we will have to wait and see exactly how it will be used. Also, developers like me who proceed with payments through payment plugins will likely have to wait and see if the third-party plugins can handle all of these issues.
