Created the current SoonSoon Review YouTube channel in early March 2020, and reached 5,000 subscribers in just about 32 months.
Looking at the trend, I thought it would be around the end of the year or early next year, but it seems to have been reached a bit faster than I thought.

Initially, I started YouTube seriously because offline lectures could not be held due to COVID-19, following a request to make YouTube lectures.. I started uploading product reviews, which I had been doing as a hobby with blog reviews as practice..

As I went along, I found it fun, so I have organized the current channel as a space for posting product reviews, and I have separated the existing lectures or development tips into a separate 'SoonSoon Studio' channel through rebranding.

It's been so hectic that I've just been using the same icons and artwork, but I think I need to make sure they are clearly distinguished in 2023.

Simply sharing the analysis data, since product reviews are the main focus, it seems that many of the viewers are people who watch ITSeb, a major company in this industry.

Since it doesn't really have special content and just claims to be ordinary product reviews, most non-subscribers are watching.

I'm thinking of increasing the number of subscribers by expanding the area of self-produced content next year. In fact, the number of subscribers seems to be very low compared to views.

Since most of the reviews are for electronic products, I thought the male ratio would be around 99%. However, I was surprised to find that the female ratio is actually 15%. (Is this normal.. ? ) The majority of viewers appear to be men in their early to mid-30s.

After doing YouTube for a little over 30 months, the accumulated views are around 2 million. It's a meager level, not even reaching the level of a single video from popular YouTubers. And through YouTube ads, I earned about 3,000 dollars, which is roughly a little over 4 million won at the current exchange rate.

Looking at the top-viewed videos, they seem to be mostly videos created last summer and fall.
I don't know for sure, but I feel like the peak of my cute and precious SoonSoon Review was around that time..

According to an analysis of a certain company's YouTube channel, the 'SoonSoon Review' channel is as follows. While its revenue ranking is higher than its YouTube subscriber ranking.. If the revenue is this high, it's in the top 11%.. It seems that most YouTube channels don't make money.

Actually, around the end of last year, when the views suddenly spiked and sponsorships started coming in, along with the steady side income from using the Coupang Partner program, I was investing quite a bit of time and opportunity cost into growing the channel this year. However, recently, due to some unpleasant incidents, I was unable to use the Coupang Partner program (I plan to post about this separately), and I suddenly realized that I might have been taking YouTube a bit too seriously..?

So for the remaining year, and next year, I plan to go back to my main career and focus on development content.

Nevertheless, YouTube reviews are a fun hobby, and interesting products are always welcome, so I must keep working hard consistently.

It took nearly 3 years to reach 5,000 subscribers.. When will it reach 10,000..
